Successful preparatory tournament for Cortina

The preparatory tournament for Cortina was very successful for us. Last weekend we participated in the Bernese Ladies Cup and were able to gain valuable match experience.

We got off to a strong start in the tournament on Friday. In a busy first day, we won all three of our group matches, laying the foundation for a successful weekend.

Friday's results:

Game 1 against Team Rossi: 8-2 victory

Game 2 against Team Henderson: 6:1 victory

Game 3 against Team Messenzehl: 9:3 victory

On Saturday, we had already qualified for the quarter-finals that evening before our fourth and final group match. Nevertheless, our goal was clear: to finish the group stage with a commanding lead. We also managed to win our fourth match against Team Wrana 4-3.

With four wins in the preliminary round, we faced Team Dupont from Denmark in the quarterfinals. Thanks to a solid and focused performance, we advanced to the semifinals. There, Team Jerger awaited us on Sunday morning. We maintained our level of play in this match as well and prevailed 7-3.

In the subsequent final, we faced Team Wrana once again. After seven ends, we won the game 5-3, crowning a successful tournament.

With 7 wins and 0 losses, we won the Bernese Ladies Cup. We're taking this positive feeling with us to Cortina and are really looking forward to the upcoming challenges.
