The first tournament of our intense November schedule is behind us! The second Grand Slam of the season took place in Nisku, in a new and impressive arena.
Our group stage was marked by ups and downs, finishing with two wins and two losses. Thanks to a sufficient Draw Shot Challenge (DSC) score, we qualified for the tiebreak on Saturday morning against Team Yoshimura. After a strong performance, we secured a spot in the quarterfinals, where we narrowly defeated Team Constantini – winning with a final, challenging shot. The semifinal against Team Kim was also close, but once again, we came out on top.
It was an intense Saturday with three matches, but it was equally successful, earning us the ticket to the final on Sunday.
In the final, we once again faced Team Homan. It was a thrilling, high-level showdown. In the end, Team Homan claimed victory, and we finished the tournament with an excellent second place.
Now, a day of rest and packing awaits us in Switzerland before we head off to the European Championships in Finland. We are very excited to represent Switzerland once again!
