What a time!

Two weeks in Cortina already feel like a week ago. Hard training, lots of matches, and focused preparation paid off: we returned home with a silver medal. An incredible reward for our hard work!

The pre-camp in Flims was the perfect start. Excellent training conditions and an ideal preparation for the biggest event every four years. After a long bus journey, we arrived at Cortina Village. It was impressive to meet so many athletes from different countries and sports. Many special goodies, excellent food, and comfortable camping cabins ensured that we could fully concentrate on our performance.

The action on the ice was intense and exciting. All the games were close, and the six wins out of nine preliminary round games were hard-fought. The crowd was loud, the atmosphere in the curling arena exceptional – an atmosphere we don't often experience.

Thanks to this strong preliminary round, we qualified for the semi-final against Team USA. With a very cohesive team performance, we secured our ticket to the final. An incredible feeling!

The final remained close until the very end, but we ultimately lost by a narrow margin. However, the initial disappointment quickly gave way to overwhelming pride in winning the silver medal.

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved as a team. We have grown together, improved each other, and strengthened each other. This journey – and the medal as its culmination – will remain in our memories forever.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us along the way and on-site in Cortina. This success would not have been possible without you!

Swiss Championship

Last week we mobilized all our energy once again to compete in the Swiss Championship.

With an undefeated preliminary round and a win in the first final game (best of 3), things looked very promising for securing our ticket to the World Championship in Calgary. Unfortunately, we suffered two consecutive losses on the final day. Our season has now come to an end, and we have time to recover.
