The excitement was immense. It was supposed to be a great event, as St. John’s is the hometown of Brad Gushue. And we were not disappointed! The venue was impressive, and up to 7,000 spectators attended. The atmosphere was simply incredible.
Although the event was a great success, it was a bit more challenging for us on the ice. We finished the group stage with two wins against Team Tabata and Fujisawa, but we also suffered two losses to Lawes and Yoshimura.
On Saturday morning, we secured a spot in the tie-break game, but unfortunately, we lost to Team Ha from Korea.
Now, we are recharging for a week at home in Switzerland, alongside our training, before heading to Japan. We are looking forward to a new adventure!
