Players Open and GSOC HearingLife Tour Challenge

During the last two weeks we were in Canada and played two tournaments. The first tournament was the Players Open in Dundas. In the first two matches we were not quite able to show our skills. We narrowly lost to Team Morrison from Scotland by one stone and the second match against Team Dupont from Denmark after a failed third end. We improved steadily in the next three games and won all three, qualifying for the tiebreak game and thus the playoffs thanks to a good draw shot challenge. On Sunday morning, we faced a very strong Team Kim from Korea and unfortunately lost in the quarterfinals of the Players Open in Dundas.

In the second week in Canada, our first Grand Slam of Curling of the season awaited us in Niagara Falls. We won all four group matches and qualified for the quarter-finals on Saturday. Unfortunately, we were again unable to perform at our best and narrowly lost the quarter-finals to Team Jones from Canada. We're taking a lot from these two weeks and are looking forward to a relaxing week at home in Switzerland before heading to Canada for another two weeks. There we will play another international women's tournament and the second Grad Slam of Curling of the season.
