Stu Sells Halifax and GSOC Kioti National

From 30.10.2023 to 14.11.2023 we were in Canada for the third time this season. The first of two tournaments was the Stu Sells Classic in Halifax. On the very good ice at the Halifax Curling Club, we were able to deliver our performance and win all four group games. Thanks to the additional good DSC result (Draw Shot Challenge), we qualified directly for the semi-finals. On Sunday morning we won the semi-final against Team Constantini from Italy and in the afternoon the final against Team Jones from Canada. This was our third tournament win of the season.

In the second week in Canada, we played our second Grand Slam of the 23/24 season in Pictou County. After a somewhat bumpy group stage, in which we won two games and lost two, we qualified for the quarter-finals against Team Jones thanks to the best DSC result. With a great performance, we won the quarter-final 11:4, but lost the semi-final against the strong playing Team Gim from Korea 3:7. We therefore finished the Grand Slam of Curling in third place.

With a win and reaching the semi-finals at the Grand Slam, we can look back with a good feeling and look forward to the upcoming European Championships in Aberdeen, Scotland.
