Successful Season Opener at the Women’s Masters Basel

After intensive training sessions on and off the ice during the summer, the anticipation for the start of the competition season was high. Our first tournament took place in Arlesheim.

On Thursday, we had an hour of training on the ice in Arlesheim before hosting a sponsor event together with Winter & Company. A big thank you for the great afternoon and your valuable support!

Friday featured our first two group stage games. With the following results, we were able to kick off the season successfully:

  • 9:1 win against Team Pflügler (AUT)

  • 8:1 win against Team Turmann (EST)

On Saturday at noon, we played our third and final group stage match, securing a 7:4 victory over Team Bärtschiger (SUI). Thanks to an unbeaten group stage, we advanced directly to the quarterfinals. On Saturday evening, we continued our strong run with a 10:1 victory against Team Messenzehl (GER).

Sunday morning saw us face Team Bjoernstad (NOR) in the semifinal, which we won 9:3 to secure our spot in the final. In the championship match against Team Constantini (ITA), we once again delivered a solid performance and claimed the title with a 7:3 victory.

A very successful start to the season that gives us great confidence heading into the upcoming tournaments.

A huge thank you to all our loyal fans who traveled to Arlesheim to support us so passionately! We would also like to thank the organizing team of the Women’s Masters Basel for a great event.

Next up is a week of training before we head to Canada for four weeks to compete in the following tournaments:

  • GSOC AMJ Masters: September 23–28 in London (CAN)

  • Stu Sells Toronto Tankard: October 1–6 in Toronto

  • Autumn Gold Curling: October 10–13 in Calgary

  • GSOC Tour Challenge: October 14–19 in Nisku

We’re excited for what’s to come!
